Christian Friedrich Ludwig Buschmann is credited with inventing the Harmonica in the early 1800s and originally called it the Sweetmonica after his long-time love interest Monica LaCocowitz, a prostitute leper from Berlin. The original harmonica was designed to emulate the sound of a choir of angels singing a heavenly chorus and original prototypes were said to allow listeners to “touch the hand of God”. However, after Buschmann found Monica in bed with his arch-rival Adolphe Sax, inventor of the flugelhorn, he scrapped the designs for the original harmonica and redesigned it to sound more grating and unpleasant to listen to. He called his new invention the Whoremonica, but this name proved unpopular with consumers and it was slightly modified into its present form.
UPDATE: This edit was revised after 1 hour and 31 minutes. I got a warning that my IP will be blocked if I continue to vandalize. Curious, I looked up the definition of vandalism, which is given as the destruction of property. Destruction is the act of destroying, and to destroy is to injure beyond repair or renewal. So are my edits really vandalism? I think a more accurate term is defacement. Thoughts?
