Variations on the Irish Car Bomb have since sprung up around the world ranging from the mundane, such as the Canadian Car Bomb that involves dropping a shot of O’Doul’s into a pint of maple syrup, to the extreme, such as the Antarctic Dog Sled Bomb that involves dropping a shot of Everclear into a pint of rubbing alcohol. The most dangerous variation of the Irish Car Bomb is undoubtedly the Afghani Car Bomb, which involves dropping a shot of nitroglycerin into a pint of ethylene glycol dinitrate and then having a friend punch you in the stomach after chugging the mixture. A person who drinks an Afghani Car Bomb is considered “tough” if they can take the subsequent punch without flinching; however, a person is labeled as being a “pussy” if their stomach explodes on impact.
